About Me

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my job! I work full-time as a wife, mother, cook, teacher, nurse, financial planner, domestic organizer, mediator . . . well, if you're a mom, you get the picture. When I'm not working on the un-ending list of things to do, I enjoy reading, writing, singing, scrapbooking, cooking, sewing, decorating, and volunteering at church and our local homeschool co-op.

My children are each a unique gift from God and I am incredibly blessed to be their mom!

Our eldest, Grant, is kind of shy (he definitely gets this trait from his father!) but loves to laugh and have fun.  He is our little genius and I am constantly amazed at and challenged by his enthusiasm for learning.  He is the reason we began our homeschooling journey many years ago.  He loves all things science and math, enjoys participating on a local Robotics team, and is a wonderful big brother to his siblings.

Grace is our middle child.  Is there really a "middle child syndrome"?  We aren't sure, but she sure is stuck in the middle of her two brothers!  She loves being girly - having her nails done and primping in front of the mirror - but she's also the only child in our family who will dig in the dirt for worms, bait her own hook when fishing, catch frogs after a good rain, and do all sorts of other things we would have expected from our boys!  She is an excellent reader and cook and she loves to draw, paint, color or do anything artistic in nature.  She loves the outdoors and is such an adventurous child!

Reece is our "baby".  However, he's also the hero of this family.  At just 2 years old, he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.  Everyday, he shows us how to live with courage and faith.  He LOVES all sports, most of all baseball, and enjoys being outside as often as he can.  Math comes very easily to him, and he faces ANY challenge with perseverence.  He has a silly bone, and makes us all laugh on a very regular basis.  He also loves to snuggle up on the couch with his mama - a habit which I'm praying he won't soon grow out of.
